What if I… ©

What if I climb the highest mountain just for you?
What if I reach for the stars to find you a light?
What if I find in the middle of the deepest ocean,
The road that brings me to the soul lost in the arrears of the years?
What if I touch you in the most intimate essence of your being?
What if I walk the clouds that take your spirit to a new heaven?
What if I just tell you the most beautiful words that you ever heard,
But the tone is too low and you can’t hear them?
What if the roads we encounter bring us to the edge of an invisible mountain?
What if we knock and knock and the door never opens?
What if we embrace a truth that never reaches a destine or
Gets lost in a space of solitude and regress to the parting point?
What if we shout the world words of hope that aren’t true?
What if we water seeds of mischief and germinate a dead plant?
What if I bring my soul to your feet and when I look up,
You are not there and left in a route to nowhere but you?
